Just one day after beating 9th ranked LSU, the McNeese Cowboys beat another inner state rival as the pokes downed Louisiana Tech last for their sixth straight.

The pokes have been on a roll lately and it all started on April 5th when they took down then ranked #24 Houston.  Then the Cowboys sweep New Orleans on the road in three games.  Then the pokes beat #9 LSU on Tuesday and kept their streak alive last night beating Louisiana Tech 3-1 for their 6th victory in a row.

Another impressive thing is that McNeese has won most of these games on the road.  The pokes are now 20-11 on the year.  They will be looking to extend the winning streak but will have to do it on the road once again.

McNeese will travel to Beaumont this weekend to take on Southland Conference foes and I-10 rival Lamar for three games beginning tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m.  Then Saturday's game will  be at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday's game is at 1:00 p.m.
