LSU Beats Mississippi State to Advance To Semi’s Of SEC Tournament

The rally possum and the good ju ju has continued for the LSU Tigers baseball team as last night the purple and gold took the lead against Mississippi State and never looked back.

The Tigers beat the Bulldogs 5-3 behind some brilliant pitching from junior left hander Jared Porche' who went 6 2/3 innings.  The win  last night is the third win in this years Southeastern Conference baseball tournament.

The Tigers came back to beat Tennessee Tuesday night in the bottom of the 9th inning 5-4.  Then the cardiac Tigers played Florida in  a marathon 14 inning game before they beat Florida 5-3.  Then with the win last night, LSU is now vaulted into the Semifinals.

The Tigers will have the day off today and will be back in action on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.  and LSU will take on the winner of the Florida-Mississippi State game whom they have beaten both of those teams in the tournament.  The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
