The LSU Tigers baseball team broke out the bats today to secure a three game sweep over Cincinatti this weekend.

It started off a little shakey for LSU on Friday as it took extra innings for the Tigers the season opener.  LSU beat Cincinatti 6-5 in 12 innings.  Then pitching was a huge factor on Saturday as the Tigers shut out Cincinatti 4-0.

Then today, LSU broke out the wood!  Three solo homeruns teamed up with a grand slam gave the Tigers a 12-4 victory and the sweep over Cincinatti.  One of the homeruns was hit by Beau Jordan who is from Lake Charles and went to Barbe high school.

LSU who is now 3-0 on the season will travel to Beaumont Texas this Wednesday night to take on Lamar.  The game will be televised on CST.
