UPDATE Wednesday, December 8th, 2021

12th Night will return in 2021, although there will be a few changes. Originally presented by the Mardi Gras of South West Louisiana, this year is being organized and executed by the Mardi Gras Museum and Krewe of Krewes. This year's two-night event will serve as a fundraiser for the museum. We talked with Rebecca Moss with the Mardi Gras of Southwest Louisiana and she said quote:

This year, 12th night will be put on by the Mardi Gras Museum and Krewe of Krewes as a fundraiser for the museum.

Jan 6th at 530 pm at the civic center entrance - outside - will be a parade of Krewe flags.

Jan 7th at 7pm will be inside the civic center. This night will be a $5 entrance fee where you will receive a handkerchief to swing during the second line dances that will take place.

MGSW will resume 12th night, The Royal Gala and The Queens pageant next year (2023).

We know, we know, we haven't even got to Christmas yet but it's never too early to talk about Mardi Gras. We should all be excited about Mardi Gras coming since we didn't get to have a Mardi Gras last year due to COVID.

It has been announced that Lake Charles Twelfth Night celebration is a go in 2022.  This is where you will see all the Mardi Gras royalty aka Kings and Queens from all the Southwest Louisiana krewes take their last walk a bid a farewell and welcome in the new Mardi Gras Season.

In this case, it will be the King and Queens from 2019 as they dress up in their Mardi Gras costumes for the final time.  It's basically like a mini-parade featuring members of all the Southwest Louisiana Krewe of Krewes.

The Lake Charles Mardi Gras' Twelfth Night is presented by the Mardi Gras of Southwest Louisiana. The event will take place on Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 at the Lake Charles Civic Center Coliseum and doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the event begins at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $7 in advance or $8 at the door. Children under 5 are Free to enter.
