Football season in Louisiana is here and the excitement for high school, college, and professional football is growing.

Going into a new season, teams often introduce their fans to new or throwback uniform color schemes, and some even elect to change their helmets up to add to the excitement.

The UL Ragin' Cajuns are one of the teams that have changed things up with their headgear, and as you'll see below, the new helmets for the 2024 season have a Louisiana theme attached to them.

No, there's not an alligator or swamp photo on the new helmets, but the outline of the state of Louisiana is present on the Cajuns helmets.

The name that we're familiar with on the helmets remains the same but added to the helmets this year is the emblem or outline of Louisiana.

After each football season, some teams hold auctions for fans, and I predict if these helmets hit the auction after this season they'll go for a nice bit of money, which could be used to support the football program.

The Cajuns start their 2024 season on August 31 when they host Grambling St. at Cajun Field.

The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.
