The FHF Family Empowerment Expo Is Coming To Lake Charles

Get educated about disability-related resources, referrals, peer support, and more at the 2023 FHF Family Empowerment Expo! Join us Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Lake Charles Civic Center Exhibition Hall (900 Lakeshore Drive) in Lake Charles. This is a free in-person event for individuals with disabilities and their families in Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jeff Davis parishes.

Registration is going on now. Families Helping Families of SWLA(FHF) and Imperial Calcasieu Human Services Authority Developmental Disabilities Division are hosting the expo. The purpose of FHF:

This year's FHF Family Empowerment Expo will feature Mr. Ronnie Harvey Jr. as the Keynote Speaker. The beloved community leader is a powerful motivational speaker and will expo attendees inspired and enlighted. A lifelong educator, the former coach, and the high school principal is the current Administrative Director of Special Services for the Calcasieu Parish School Board.
