It's not every day that kids get to hang out with ol' St. Nick! Around this time of year, the big guy is usually putting last-minute adjustments on his sleigh, rounding up his reindeer, and of course checking his list.

The children in SWLA must have been extra good this year because Santa is planning to make a very special trip to Lake Charles. Saturday, December 23, at 9:30 am, Kris Kringle is going to dash down Moeling Street to eat breakfast with the kids of Southwest Louisiana at the Allen P. August Multipurpose Annex.

Ol' Saint Nick has never been one to miss a good meal, and it's the perfect time for the little ones to meet Santa, take pictures with him, and make sure he has their toy requests in order. Speaking of which, I hear he may have a few extra gifts to give away because his elves made too many.

All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of this event, which is free and open to the public. This is also a great time to take family holiday pictures the kids and Santa as well. So, come out and enjoy!

Special thanks go out to District 2 Police Juror Mike Smith, who's always doing something for the families and kids in his community. Also, a major shout out to Maplewood Burgers for providing Santa and the kids with a delicious breakfast. For more info about this event, see the flyer below!
