Lake Charles Imperial Calcasieu Museum ‘Holiday Art Under the Oak’
Don't miss the return of Art Under the Oak presented by the Imperial Calcasieu Museum (204 W. Sallier St.) The open-air holiday market is set to take place Sunday, December 11, from Noon to 3 pm. Save the date!
Just in time for Christmas, do all your holiday shopping under the historic Sallier Oak tree downtown. The open-air holiday market is the perfect place to shop til you drop with a great variety of unique jewelry, art, crafts, wares, delicious food, sweet treats, and more! Plus, live holiday music entertainment was performed by Dominique Darbonne and Wesley Royer.
Bring the kids, let them visit with Santa Claus, and take free family Christmas photos while you're at it. Enjoy watching the fantastic holiday trains by the SWLA O Gauge Model Railroad Club as may be passing through a city reminiscent of Lake Charles set in the 50s or chugging down the tracks of an amazing miniature replica of the Mines in Sulphur.

The model trains, tracks, and villages are painstakingly put together for the public's enjoyment. They are truly a sight to see!
