Come out on a benefit trail ride in to help horses. The event is being organized by the nonprofit group Hayden's Hoofbeat Haven. This charity allows horses, a little down on their luck find a new home to live out the rest of their days. Some of these animals come from sale barns, while others are rescued or surrendered by individuals.

They only need a loving family or owner to give them a forever home. The trail ride will begin Saturday at 9 am and depart from 2552 Hwy—372 in Oakdale, LA. 71463. The cost for those participating in the trail ride is $25 per horse or horse-drawn buggy. Lunch is included!

Riders must be prepared to take a 10-mile ride through the woods and are urged to arrive at 8 am or a little before.

Horses are amazing animals. It isn't the end of the road for those horses that end up at animal rescue services. Horses can serve many purposes, from simply being a companion to a person or another animal to helping people overcome mental and physical illnesses. Horses make amazing service animals for people living with disabilities or suffering from PTSD.

Older horses are wonderful for teaching small children how to ride because they are calm and gentle. They are even ideal for elderly people to ride for those same reasons. Animal rescue service like Hayden's Hoofbeat Haven is doing all they can to give horses that come to them another chance at life.

Caring for these animals is expensive and requires substantial resources such as food, shelter, training, and medical services. Which is what this trail ride is all about. So, please come out and help them raise money for these majestic animals. This benefit trail ride can also double as a nice family outing too!

Let's ride, raise money for horses in need and make a difference. Plus, have a lot of fun! Please note glass bottles, weapons, guns, or dogs will not be allowed on the trail ride to maintain a safe environment. Proceeds from the trail ride will go towards the 501(c) Rescue of Hayden’s Hoofbeat Haven.
