Why You Should Come

This isn’t just a party—it’s peace of mind. With hurricane season officially underway, the goal is to help our Southwest Louisiana families and neighbors be proactive, not reactive. You'll find free hurricane kits, hygiene supplies, and tips from local experts—all while enjoying the vibrant culture of Lake Charles with live music, food, and family fun.

Organizations like Southwest Louisiana Credit, Louisiana Healthcare Connections, and Edna will be on-site to help with guidance, support, and resources you might need this season.

Hurricane Preparedness Can Save Lives

When storms come, there’s no time to figure things out last minute. This event helps make sure our people are equipped with the essentials and the knowledge to weather any storm. This festival is all about giving the tools directly to the community, from evacuation plans to supply checklists.

The Vessel Project of Louisiana, founded by Roishetta Ozane, is a grassroots mutual aid, disaster relief, and environmental justice organization founded in Southwest Louisiana in response to several federally declared disasters, including hurricanes Laura and Delta, winter storm Uri, and the May flood of 2021.
