Oh boy... Imagine driving down the interstate and all of a sudden, you lose control of your STERRING WHEEL. What do you do? If you have this car, you may need to get it checked out as soon as possible.

It only takes one time for it to happen and you would be putting yourself and others in danger. Even if it is losing control for just a few seconds.

Chrysler recalled over 330,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees this week over a steering wheel problem that could result in drivers losing control of their cars.

Per The Hill, According to documents released this week by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the reason the vehicles were recalled was specifically that the "upper control arm ball joint and steering knuckle" may separate on the steering wheel and fall out, which would result in a loss of vehicle control and a higher risk of crashing.

In June 2023, an inquiry about Cherokees was launched. To identify the impacted vehicles, the vehicle build records were studied, automobile components were inspected, and assembly techniques were evaluated. According to NHTSA, there have been no incidents or injuries associated with the problem as of January 2024.

Over 330,000 Grand Cherokee models from the 2021–2023 model years are affected by the recall. Owners will be notified via letters that are expected to be mailed by April 12.
