Are you ready to get back to your Cajun roots? Do you love throwing cornmeal on the floor and waltzing around the dance floor with your sweetheart?  Then we have just the event and concert for you.

Two legendary Cajun music artists will be performing live in Lake Charles in January 2024. The two artists we are talking about are Jackie Callier and Ivy Dugas. Jackie is a phenomenal accordion player and Ivy's iconic voice is second to none in Cajun music.

Their band is called the Cajun Cousins and they have been together for many years. now. Both Jackie and Ivy are in the Cajun French Music Association Hall of Fame as Cajun music artists. Before Ivy played with Jackie, he was part of the late Phil Menard band called Phil Menard, Ivy Dugas, and the Louisiana Travelers for many years.

Some of the songs Ivy is known for when he recorded with Phil Menard are The Momma's Waltz and Offshore Waltz and he even did a song called the KLCL Special for our show we used to do in the 1990s on the radio live from the Downtown hotel in Lake Charles called Louisiana Bandstand.

Ivy then teamed up with Jackie for the timeless classic The Gravel Road, and also Dans Le Chagrin, Send Me A Letter, and their version of the Heritage Waltz.

Jackie and Ivy will be back together with their band The Cajun Cousins and will be performing at the Cajun French Music Association building located at 3481 East Prein Lake Road in Lake Charles. They will perform on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. $10 will get you in the door and children 12 and under are free.
