McNeese Extends Baseball Coach Justin Hill to New 4-Year Deal

Lake Charles, Louisiana - The Cowboy skipper is here to stay for a few more years. Thursday, McNeese Athletics announced that baseball coach Justin Hill has signed a 4-year contract to remain the Head Coach of the Cowboys.

"My family and I are so grateful for the opportunity to continue to lead the McNeese baseball program," Hill said. "The support we've always received from our McNeese family and this community has never changed. We are thankful for everyone who has believed in us."

Hill, who began his career playing at LSU, has been the head coach at McNeese for 13 seasons and is the winningest baseball coach in school history.

Since taking over the program, Hill has led the Cowboys to three Southland Conference championships, including regular-season titles in 2017 and 2022 and tournament championships in 2019 and 2021. Under Hill, McNeese has also reached the NCAA Baseball Tournament twice, earning regional appearances in 2019 and 2021.

Hill has now guided the Cowboys to the Southland Conference championship series five times in the last seven seasons, including two of the last three years.
That also includes a great run in the Southland Conference tournament this past season, which included an appearance in the Southland Conference Championship Series.

McNeese Director of Athletics Bridget Martin said Hill has built a winning program both on and off the field.

"Coach Hill has set the standard for excellence on and off the field," Martin said. "This contract extension reflects the confidence we have in the baseball program under his leadership."
