Surprise Name Listed As Favorite To Become Next LSU Football Coach
(KNGT-FM) - The LSU Football coaching search has been off to a rampant start, including chaos amid the firing of Brian Kelly, but the latest odds to be the next leader of the Tigers have an interesting name atop the list.
The nature of sports betting has really taken off and taken over the sports world over the last 5 or so years as it becomes legal in more and more states. In the following days, the LSU board of supervisors also agreed to part ways with Athletics Director Scott Woodward.
Since then, LSU has named Wade Rousse its new president and Verge Ausberry its athletics director.

Former Head Coach Brian Kelly and LSU have been in negotiations since his firing to settle for his $54 million buyout, which is owed. In the last few days, Kelly and his representation have filed a lawsuit saying the school never formally fired him. The school says they plan to fire him for cause, so they don’t have to pay his full $54 million buyout. Kelly’s team disagrees and says his dismissal was never for cause - it was because of poor team performance.
