Locally Owned Restaurant In Sulphur, Louisiana Announces They Will Close Their Doors

It seems like we have been getting the news a lot lately that a local business in Southwest Louisiana will be closing its doors. Since September of this year 2023, we have seen several businesses close around the area.

Taco Mel announced they would close its Moss Bluff location. Then came the news that in October, all the locations of Kentucky Fried Chicken closed in Southwest Louisiana. Then on October 23rd, O'Charley's closed its doors here in Lake Charles after being in the area for years.

There was also a viral photo going around the internet with a Western Sizzling logo on the old O'Charley's building. We did some investigating about if a new restaurant was going to take the place of O'Charley's and here is what we found here.

Then a popular bakery downtown, Sweet Treats in Lake Charles closed. That makes four restaurants in just a couple of months. We are sad to have to report that another one here in Southwest Louisiana will be closing as well.

We are talking about K's Frozen Delights And More. The restaurant is located at 1842 Ruth Street in Sulphur, LA. They offered everything from ice cream, snow cones, coffee, burgers, hotdogs, Jolly Waffles, Stuffed waffles, and more.

The owners posted on Facebook that they would be closing the doors of the business. They said on Facebook,

It is with a very heavy heart that we inform our community that K's Frozen Delights and More will close permanently in the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately, due to the current economy, we can no longer run our day-to-day operations. We will be selling all the products we have left so come help me get rid of everything!
