Free Southwest Louisiana Events For National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to get police and neighbors together under favorable circumstances.

2023 will be the 40th Anniversary for National Night Out. NNO is recognized by over Seventeen Thousand communities throught the United States. Louisiana has 61 cities that participate and have community events for National Night Out.

We have done some digging and have found a few communities around the Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana area that will be having events for National Night Out 2023.

DeRidder National Night Out - A Fun Family Event with lots of vendors, games, food trucks and a time to get to know first responders, military police, DRPD and BPSO. Plus there will be lots of mystery this year so get your sleuthing skills ready for a FUN night! DeRidder's National Night Out events will take place at the Beauregard Parish Fairgrounds. Lake Charles National Night Out - Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Officers from the Department, and view demonstrations from the various divisions, including SWAT, K-9, Traffic Motorcycles, and more. Free resources and information from a variety of vendors will also be available. National Night Out will also feature a jambalaya and pastalaya cook-off, activities for children, giveaways, and more.
