Have you been looking for a place to go slide your boots over some cornmeal to some authentic Cajun music? Most of those places don't exist anymore unless you go to a festival in the area.

If you are looking for a fun night of traditional Cajun music dancing while seeing friends or meeting new ones, then you need to make plans to head over to the Lake Charles chapter of the Cajun French Music Association's (CFMA) big Saturday night dance.

Whether you like to jitterbug, waltz, two-step, or all three, you definitely can do it all on a big Saturday night here in Lake Charles. The CFMA proudly presents Donny Broussard and the Louisiana Stars performing live. Donny and his band have played all over the country.

Here is Donny Broussard performing live at the New Orleans Jazz Festival.

Get ready to hear all your favorite Cajun music favorites Cajun Waltzes and Two-steps. This is a great event to go out and support Louisiana Cajun music and the heritage and language of our culture.

So when is this event happening you ask? It is this Saturday night, June 24th, 2023 from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm and will take place at the Lake Charles chapter of the Cajun French Music Associations building located at 3481 East Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles.

Things you need to know are that the bar will be open but you are not allowed to bring an ice chest. There will be no food served so they advise you can bring snacks.  Admission is $10 per person and children 12 and under are admitted free.

Geaux pass yourself a good time this Saturday night to some great chanky chank in Lake Charles.
