Official Cajun Weekend Weather Report
Friday
Friday kicks off the weekend with plenty of sunshine and a high around 85 degrees. But here's my favorite number. 66 degrees Friday night. That's right. We finally got ourselves a nighttime temperature that starts with a SIX. And unlike last weekend, you probably won't need an umbrella. AccuWeather is showing a 0% chance of rain Friday. ZERO. The RealFeel is expected to be around 84 degrees, and we'll have an east-northeast wind around 10 mph. Now, the UV index is still High, so don't completely forget that we're in Louisiana. If you're gonna be outside all day, sunscreen is still a good idea. But overall? Friday looks pretty darn nice.

Saturday
Saturday might be the winner. We're looking at sunny skies, a high around 83 degrees, and a low Saturday night around 65 degrees. And the rain chance? 1%. I don't know what we're supposed to do with ourselves. No thunderstorms popping up outta nowhere. No checking the radar every 15 minutes. No running across the parking lot holding a Walmart bag over your head. Just sunshine. The RealFeel should be around 84 degrees, with another northeast wind around 10 mph. If you've got football, festivals, cookouts, tailgates, yard work, or just wanna sit outside and do absolutely nothing... Saturday is looking GOOD.
Sunday
Sunday warms up just a little bit. We're looking at a high around 86 degrees and a low around 67. We'll have a mixture of clouds and sunshine with only about a 2% chance of rain. The RealFeel could climb to around 91 degrees, so Sunday afternoon may remind us that Louisiana hasn't completely forgotten about summer. But compared to those 105 and 106 RealFeel temperatures we were dealing with not that long ago? I'll take 91 ALL DAY LONG.
Here's Your Weekend Game Plan
Friday: Plenty of sunshine, 85 degrees, and no rain expected.
Saturday: Sunny, 83 degrees, and probably the nicest day of the weekend.
Sunday: A few more clouds, slightly warmer, but still almost completely dry.
Y'all...I don't wanna jinx this. But this might be one of the best-looking weekend forecasts we've had in a LONG time. Highs in the low-to-mid 80s. Lows in the mid-60s. Sunshine. Almost no rain. What else do you want? And remember that gumbo pot I've been telling y'all to keep nearby for the last month? GET IT OUT. I'm calling it. Maybe 85 degrees during the afternoon ain't gumbo weather. But when that sun goes down and we hit 65 degrees Saturday night? That's close enough for me.
That's your Cajun Weekend Weather Report. We ain't just telling y'all what the weather's doing. We're helping y'all survive Southwest Louisiana weather one crazy weekend at a time. And after weeks and weeks of waiting...Welcome to gumbo season, Southwest Louisiana.
