9th Annual Seven Slots Society Toy Drive With Santa This Weekend In Lake Charles

As you can see from the picture above, Our late Buddy Russ loved Christmas and helping people, especially kids. He also loved Jeeps and owned a few of them himself. He was one of the charter members of the Seven Slots Society and was involved with the organization for many years until he passed away in March.

He along with other members started the annual Seven Slots Society toy drive to collect toys for kids who were less fortunate and in Buddy Russ style, he had the big man Santa Claus come to the event every year. You know, Russ had connections and he always said he had a guy for everything including Christmas lol.

So this year, the folks at Seven Slots Society are keeping the tradition going in honor of Russ and are going to be holding their 9th annual Jingle Jeep Drive this Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 in Lake Charles.

They will be posted up at Cooler's Icehouse located at 3622 1/2 Ryan Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana this Saturday, December 2nd, 2023. They will be out there along with a ton of Jeeps and will be looking to collect gently used or brand-new toys to distribute to kids in Southwest Louisiana.

The big man himself, Santa Claus, will also be there! Santa is bringing along his professional photographer Courtney Marcantel and your kids can take a picture with Santa with a donation of a toy.

The Seven Slots Society and Santa will be at Coolers this Saturday, December 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. collecting toys.

Why are they doing this? Well in the words of Russ Conrad,

Every child should be able to open up a toy on Christmas, whether it's big or small. This toy drive has grown bigger and bigger each year, and it's all because of our members and the SWLA community helping support such a great charity. -- Russ Conrad
