According to forecasters, SWLA could see up to 50-70 mph wind gusts late Sunday and early Monday morning from Hurricane Ida.

The storm is currently moving NW at 15 mph with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph. The latest track has Ida landing somewhere close to Grand Isle and Morgan City. We haven't seen many variations from the predicted path of the storm and meteorologists feel very confident where the storm will land.

Hurricane Ida models are now showing that the storm will be a strong Category 3 by landfall and most meteorologists aren't ruling out the possibility of Ida becoming a Category 4 storm before it impacts the Louisiana coast.
