High Speed Pursuit Leads To Ongoing Lake Charles Manhunt
The Lake Charles Police Department is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of Will Antonio Celestine. Celestine is wanted on multiple warrants, and is considered armed and dangerous by authorities.
The LCPD began investigating two separate reports on June 11, 2017 of domestic battery on two different women, one of whom was shot. Both incidents allegedly occurred in the presence of children.
According to the LCPD, Celestine fled SWAT team members on June 13, 2017, leading to a high-speed pursuit where the suspect lost control and crashed his vehicle before fleeing on foot. Upon inspecting the abandoned vehicle, officers say they discovered an 18-month-old baby in the vehicle with no child restraint.
Authorities say the suspect then forcibly entered a home on Lebato Street, where he held a 56-year-old woman for around an hour before fleeing the scene.
The LCPD is currently searching for Celestine, and is offering a cash reward for information leading to his arrest.
