There’s one thing that people all over the world associate with the State of Louisiana --crawfish! Yes, we love them as much as they think we do — I know I do.

I’m sure lot’s of people wonder though, how in the heck do they catch those snappy little critters? The proper term is harvesting, and Elizabeth Eustis with VisitLakeCharles.com went out to get a first hand look at how farmers in the neighboring Town of Iowa catch those delicious mudbugs.

Hard work and dedication go into making sure crawfish make it to the tables of restaurants, and family functions across the region. Get a peak at the catching process in the video above.
