On January 7 of this year, Fox's Pizza Den in Sulphur announced that it was closing its door. Dewey and Kelly Freeman made the announcement on the pizzeria's Facebook page that they would be shutting the doors and moving forward with retirement. The pizza den fought 2 hurricanes, road closures, a freeze, and multiple pandemic breakouts. Honestly, dealing with that without running a business was enough for most of us to want to retire. Course, I remembered I wasn't even 40 yet and cant retire.

The response from the community of Sulphur was sad, but supportive and understanding. The last thing the pizza place's Facebook page posted was back on January 12 talking about refunds on any outstanding gift cards people may have.

Fast forward to October 7. The announcement was made that Fox's was under new ownership and is set to re-open!

The comments flooded in with excitement and various questions like if they'd be doing the same recipes we've all come to love. They replied that yes indeed they would be doing the same recipes and added that they would indeed be open on Saturdays.

I couldn't find any info on who the new owners are, but I am sure someone will chime in on that question. Nevertheless, one of Sulphur's favourite pizza places is making a comeback! There is no word on when they will open, but you better be sure I will keep digging until I can find more info on it!
