It's that time again for the popular "Downtown At Sundown" concert series that the City of Lake Charles holds every year in May in historic downtown Lake Charles.

They shut down two city blocks for the concert series and the performances are held in front of the old city courthouse.  it is one big block party with vendors selling drinks and food and live music for four straight weeks.

This year the "Downtown At Sundown" concert series begins on Friday, May 13th and runs through June 3rd, 2016.  The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every Friday night for four weeks.

This years lineup includes:

  • Friday, May 13th -- Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience 
  • Friday, May 20th --- Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys
  • Friday, May 27th --- Cold Sweat
  • Friday, June 3rd --- City Heat

This is a free kid and family friendly event and is open to the public.  So get ready to pass yourself a good time starting May 13th in historic downtown Lake Charles.
