Do you have a young hunter in your household? Then get ready to enroll them into the Calcasieu Sheriff’s Office Hosting Hunter’s Education Course that is coming up in November of 2021.

This is a great thing to put your younger hunters into so that they can learn the safety protocols while hunting and enjoying Sportsman's Paradise that is Southwest Louisiana.

Plus everyone who wants to obtain a hunting license in Louisiana needs to take this course to get their certifications to hunt. This class is a two-day event.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office will be hosting the hunter’s education course on Friday, November 12 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Don't forget that the class will continue on Saturday, November 13 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The two-day course will be held at the Calcasieu Parish Regional Training Academy located at 3958 Mallard Cove in Lake Charles. Attendees must attend both days in order to receive credit for the course.

Refreshments will be provided on both days and lunch will be provided on Saturday. and this course is offered free of charge to anyone 10 years of age or older.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office said that this will likely be the last hunter’s education course offered by CPSO for the remainder of this year.
