Breaking News: Sheriff’s Office Out At Apparent Murder/Suicide

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Authorities with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating an apparent murder/suicide Monday morning.

Deputies were called to the scene on Southernwoods Drive off of LA 397 just after 7 a.m. Monday.

Sheriff Tony Mancuso confirmed that two people - a male and a female - were found suffering gunshot wounds. An official with the CPSO also said the 11-year-old son of the deceased female found both his mother and her live-in boyfriend.
