Barbe Baseball Making A Run For A State Championship Tonight In Semifinal Game
The Barbe high school baseball team are in the middle of a run for the 5A state championship and tonight the boys in blue will face off against St. Amant at McMurry Park in Sulphur, Louisiana.
Barbe is 37-2 on the season with their only two losses coming from Destrahan on March 3rd and West Monroe on March 14th.
Barbe is currently on a 25 game winning streak. They scored 317 runs in the regular season and scored 10 or more runs in 17 of their games. During their 25 game winning streak, they outscored there opponents 201 runs to 50 runs. Wow That is some awesome offense and a heck of a defensive effort!
Barbe has won the 5A Louisiana State High School Baseball championship six times. They won it all in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2006, 2008, 2012.
