It's been almost two years since hurricane Laura came through Southwest Louisiana and damaged homes and businesses in the area. Some people are still living in temporary housing and RVs and a lot of businesses in the area have not reopened.

Such is the case for both locations of Ball's Fired Chicken locations.  Both of the popular restaurants have been shut down ever since they both received a ton of damage from the storms almost two years ago.

The Ball's Fried Chicken #2 location that was on Common Street in Lake Charles just North of McNeese Street has not only not been opened but recently the entire building was torn down and leveled to the ground back in May of this year.

There is no word if the location on Common Street will be rebuilt or even come back at all. We now however found out some information about the original location of Ball's Fried Chicken on Enterprise Boulevard in Lake Charles.

The owners of Ball's Fried Chicken took to Facebook and posted on the SWLA Restaurant News & Reviews Facebook page to give customers and fans of the local fried chicken joint an update on the progress of the rebuilding of the location and when it may reopen. Here is what we found.

So it looks like the Ball's Fried Chicken on Enterprise will reopen and we are super excited about that. We will keep an eye out on this and stay in touch with the owners and when we find out the actual reopening date, you will be the first to know.
