The Arts Council of Southwest Louisiana will be holding their annual Spring Art Walk this Friday evening, April 27th in downtown Lake Charles.

Jody Taylor with the Arts Council of Southwest Louisiana said,

This year’s free and expanded event focuses on creating a unique bazaar atmosphere through a full-force showcase of the arts, including the visual, theatrical, literary, and musical talents that make Lake Charles unique.

There will be 18 downtown areas that will feature pop-up galleries.  They will also have street-side performers, art competitions, an outdoor art market, and fun activities.

The outdoor market will feature over 40 vendors offering a wide variety of locally made paintings, prints, jewelry, clothing, and a whole lot more stuff.

Attendees of the Art walk will be able to take a tour historic downtown properties and businesses.  There will also have concessions, live performances, demonstrations, and giveaways.

The Art Walk is this Friday night, April 27th from 5pm to 9pm in downtown Lake Charles. It is FREE to attend.
