The driver of a car fled the scene of an accident involving a motorcycle on Sunday, September 9, at 12:04 pm, in the intersection of McNeese St. and Sale Ln. The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries. Police have now located the driver and arrested him.

According to a media release, on Saturday, September 15, at 10:09 am, an officer with the Lake Charles Police Department received an anonymous tip about the suspects' vehicle being parked behind a residence in Cameron, La. With assistance from the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office, the officer went to the home and located the suspected vehicle and suspect from the hit and run.

The driver, Hayden Wayne Martin, 19, of Cameron, was arrested and his car towed for processing at LCPD. He is charged with felony hit and run and failure to yield, and booked in the Calcasieu Correctional Center. His bond has yet to be set.
