2016 Southwest Louisiana Free To Breath Run/Walk
Don't miss the 8th Annual Lung Cancer 5K Run/Walk And 1-Mile Walk and join the community as we take a stand against cancer and help double cancer survival. It all takes place on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 7:40 a.m. at the Lake Charles Civic Center Arena, located at 900 Lakeshore Drive in Lake Charles.
Be participating you’re raising awareness and helping to raise badly needed funds for cancer research programs. Free To Breathe an organization comprised of survivors, advocates, researchers, healthcare professionals and industry leaders and together they support the annual Lung Cancer 5K Run/Walk And 1-Mile Walk. Their main goal it to double lung cancer survival by the year 2022.
Register as an individual for $25/$15* or you can form a Free to Breathe team and sign-up today. Please note online registration closes April 5. Ask your family and friends, your neighbors or coworkers to join you in stamping out cancer. The mail-in registration fee is $28/$18* and must be received by April 4, 2016, at: Free to Breathe - 1 Point Place, Suite 200 - Madison, WI 53719. For the mail-in registration forms click here. The day of registration will be $30/$20 and begin at 7 a.m.

Below is the schedule of events and times:
7:00 a.m. - Registration & check-in
7:50 a.m. - Opening rally
8:15 a.m. - 5K run/walk
8:30 a.m. - 1-mile walk
9:30 a.m. - Closing rally
REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES
Entry into the 5K run/walk, 2016 branded Free To Breathe t-shirt, refreshments and entertainment. All online and mail-in registrants who participate are guaranteed an event t-shirt as well. There will be a limited quantity of t-shirts in limited sizes available for as long as supplies last. For additional info, click here.
The top three individual fundraisers and top three fundraising teams (based on totals as of 2 p.m. on April 8) will also be acknowledged on event day. Fundraising will remain open well after the run/walk, till May 9, 2016.
