The Wounded Warrior Softball Tournament will take place this Friday and Saturday, June 20th and 21st, 2014 at McMurry Park in Sulphur.

It will feature a ton of stars playing including Olympic Gold Medalist Jennie Finch-Daigle and Willie Robertson from "Duck Dynasty" will be making an appearance tonight.

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST), a nationally recognized team comprised of amputee active duty military personnel and veterans, will return to Southwest Louisiana and play against Olympic Gold Medalist Jennie Finch-Daigle and a team of all-stars June 20-21 in the “Battle on The Bayou” softball tournament.

The tournament will be held at McMurry Park in Sulphur, with game events beginning each night at 5 p.m.  There will also be a special appearance by Willie Robertson from "Duck Dynasty."

Each year, thousands of Louisiana service men and women return from the fields of battle with a variety of injuries, many of them invisible.  The Wounded Warrior Softball tournament takes place to raise both money and awareness for the Veterans who have given their all to protect our Freedom.
