Walk to End Alzheimer’s 2017 – Saturday, October 14

Come out Saturday, October 14, 2017, to the Lake Charles Civic Center Amphitheater, at 1000 Bord-Du-Lac Drive, along with hundreds of residents of Southwest Louisiana to raise awareness and funds needed in the “fight to end Alzheimer’s disease.”

Last year, the Lake Charles Alzheimer’s Association Walk raised a reported $46,447 to contribute to the national total of $82 million raised to aid in the care, support, and research for those impacted by Alzheimer's, also making it the largest event in the world for to bring awareness and financial support to Alzheimer's care, support, and research.

Participants will learn more about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services. Walk participants also honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the opening ceremony and Promise Garden ceremony is at 9:45 a.m., with the walk starting at 10 a.m.. Get more details on how to join as an individual, group, or team captain at alz.org/walk.
