Waitr Expands Service Area in SWLA

The food delivery industry has blown up over the last few years, and Waitr was born right here in SWLA.

Local businessman, Christopher Meaux, started the company in 2008 in Lake Charles. The company grew like a wildfire and was all over the southern United States. In 2018, Waitr was purchased by Tilman Fertitta, the owner of the Golden Nugget Casino, for $308 million.

Waitr is expanding its delivery service to Jennings, and to kick off their debut in the city, residents will get free deliveries for a limited time.

According to KPLC, these Jennings restaurants have signed up for Waitr:

• La Rumba
• Sonic
• Tokyo Japan
• Rocket Drive Inn
• Rival Nutrition
• Mr. Gatti’s Pizza
• and McDonald’s

There's nothing better than getting home from a long day of work, sitting down in your favorite chair, relaxing, and having your favorite dish from your favorite restaurant delivered to your home. Turn on some Netflix and bon appetit.
