Two Confirmed Deaths Attributed To Hurricane Laura

The Louisiana governor's office has confirmed a 14-year-old girl in Leesville was killed when a tree fell through her family's house. It was the first confirmed death from Hurricane Laura. No additional information was provided.

Recently, Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson confirmed a 60-year-old Iota man has also died from a fallen tree.

Governor Edwards is expected to hold a press conference today at 1:00pm.
