The Lake Charles Project is a new nonprofit organization comprised of local leaders and concerned residents who have partnered with The Impact Agency, SableAssent, and TheGoGreenStore.com to make a difference in the lives of families who've been displaced. This exciting community initiative of good will plans to adopt 25 families and provide them with cleaner, greener, safer, cheaper, and stronger hurricane-proof housing.

Hurricanes Laura and Delta not only devastated SWLA's local economy, but also shattered the infrastructure, already fragile because of the pandemic. Thousands of families have been forced to leave their homes, jobs, schools, and even the city because their former homes were damaged beyond repair. It is in direct response to this community tragedy that The Lake Charles Project is taking the call to action.

The goal is to raise $5 million to build long-term solar-powered homes and provide additional support, services, and resources for the adopted families. With a project of this magnitude, additional sponsorships, partners, and volunteers are needed and appreciated.

All proceeds will benefit the recipients and fund the building project. Please donate to this worthy cause today. For more details about The Lake Charles Project initiative and how to get involved, contact Daryl Speaks at 786-718-6997 or email lakecharlesproject1@gmail.com.
