It's official and it came from the man himself Drew Brees.  Drew just posted on this Twitter account that he is headed up to the Saints facility to sign his 100 million dollar contract. Here is the actual tweet.

Details are still few, and no official announcement has been made, but ESPN is reporting that Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints have finally reached a deal.

The clock is ticking, and by next Monday at 3 p.m., the New Orleans Saints have to offer quarterback Drew Brees a long-term contract or risk permanently ticking him off by forcing him to play under the franchise tag. Reports are coming out of New Orleans today that the Saints are putting a serious salary on the table -- the highest ever in the NFL, in fact.

It appears that New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees may be close to a final deal with his team, possibly somewhere around the $19 million range.  Reports came out of New Orleans yesterday from NBC’s Pro Football Talk that both sides are closer than originally thought.
