Both sides kin the charter school issue are passionate and have strong opinions on the issue. If our poll is any indication ... there is division in Lake Charles on this issue.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board is not in favor of charter schools. Why would they be? That would be like Coke inviting Pepsi to a party. When parents decide to put a student in a charter school ... the money that would have went to the public school instead goes to the charter school...
