LSU rallied to score 6th runs in the 9th inning including a walk off three run home run to give the Tigers the win and Coach Paul Mainieri his 1400th win.
LSU Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri reached a milestone last night after the LSU Tigers baseball team went into extra innings beating Mississippi State 5-3 in 14 innings. It was big for the Tigers to come back to win the game but it also marked the 400th win for LSU Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri.
If you haven't noticed lately, many celebrities and public figures have been taking what they call "The Ice Bucket Challenge" in support of finding a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), the debilitating condition also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
With that being said LSU Baseball head Coach Paul Mainieri and legendary LSU baseball coach and athletic director Skip Bertman take the challenge sent to them by Kelly Viator who is the executive director of the Louisiana-Mississippi chapter of the ALS Association and by longtime LSU baseball fan Ivan Cabrera.
