So today I had the chance to go back to my police roots. Sgt. James Anderson of the Louisiana State Police stopped by our studio to talk to us about driver and roadway safety for the upcoming holiday season.

Mike Soileau stepped out of his radio studio for his morning smoke break last Wednesday. A few seconds later, he'd taken a drug suspect into custody. Just another day in the life of a DJ, right?

Yesterday, our buddy Chief Meteorologist Wade Hampton from KPLC-TV stopped by the Cajun radio studio and co-hosted the morning show with me.

Hey everyone.  I wanted to share this with you guys. One of our loyal listeners and fans came and gave us a special gift.

Last week, I was on vacation and went on a cruise to the Caribbean.  We stopped in Roatan Islands, Belize and Cozumel. Here is a video of the beautiful beach I was on in the Roatan Islands outside of Honduras.

Last night, I was invited to the KPLC TV studio's to be a guest on their sports special featuring the Barbe High School baseball team. I joined sports director Seth Lewis in the studio to talk stats and how unbelievable of a season Barbe has had as they make a run for another State championship!

Hey everybody!  Just wanted to give you the heads up that tonight I will step out of the radio studio and into a TV studio to talk about one of my favorite topics, Sports! Tonight, I will be a special guest on the Barbe Baseball special that KPLC is airing at 6:30 p.m. right after the news.

So, I thought this was funny and I wanted to share this with all of you.  Yesterday, I was in the Cajun Radio studio and was recording my sports report for our sister stations Gator 99.5 and 92.9 The Lake when the processing of my voice just went haywire in the program and made me sound like Sylvester the cat  from Looney Tunes cartoon fame!  Suffering succotash is all I will say!

Cajun Radio is celebrating nine years of being on the air full time 24 hours a day playing Cajun, Swamp Pop and Zydeco music only. It was a dream of my dad Dave Soileau's and I to have a full time 24 hour a day Cajun Radio station and nine years ago it happened.  Here is a little history about Dad and I and the history of doing Cajun music on the radio which led up to Cajun Radio going on the air.

This Friday morning, join me at 8:15 a.m. as we will be making big announcement about our next Cajun and Zydeco concert.

Today, Keith Frank aka "The Zydeco Boss" celebrates his birthday! Keith has dedicated his life to playing and promoting Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music.
