Just one day after beating 9th ranked LSU, the McNeese Cowboys beat another inner state rival as the pokes downed Louisiana Tech last for their sixth straight.

Are you having withdrawls for football. Well we have your fix especially for McNeese Cowboy football fans. This Saturday April 16th the McNeese football team will hold there annual Blue and Gold spring football game.

The 16th ranked Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana Lafayette are heading down I-10 today and will make a stop at Cowboy diamond tonight to take on the McNeese Cowboys baseball team.

There are only two weeks left in the season and for the McNeese Cowboys Mens basketball team they will play their final two home games of the year this week.

The McNeese Cowboys fans are known for ringing the cowbells in the stadium during the game. Well not during the playoff game this Saturday because now it is a NCAA operated event since and there rules say you can;t have any artificial noise makers during playoff games.

Well pokes fans, our team had the week off and were glued to the TV Saturday afternoon to see who their opponent would be between the winner of the Southern Utah and Sam Houston State game. Sam Houston State beat Southern Utah Saturday 42-39 to advance to the second round and get a rematch with the McNeese Cowboys.

Even though the McNeese Cowboys football team was off last week, they still stayed strong in the national polls. The new polls were released today and the Cowboys are still ranked the number two team in the nation. The Cowboys held steady at No. 3 in the STATS poll too this week.

McNeese has scheduled a watch party for the show and is inviting all fans to be there with the Cowboys when the pairings are revealed.

Still undefeated. Sounds good huh McNeese Cowboy fans? That's right the pokes took care of business over the weekend beating Northwestern State 47-27 for homecoming to stay perfect and they moved up into the top 10 in both polls.

Tonight, I had the chance to go to the McNeese Homecoming game tonight. I stood on the sidelines and got to see first hand how good the Cowboys football team really are and let me tell you, they impressed me.

McNeese State University and their athletic department are gearing up for their 2015 homecoming parade this Thursday night to celebrate the Cowboys football season. People from all over Southwest Louisiana will head to the parade route for a good time and root the Cowboys onto victory. Here is the parade route.
