McNeese Cowboys Football

The McNeese Cowboys football team were stunned at home last Saturday night by Southeastern Louisiana losing the game 41-7. The Cowboys are now 7-2 on the season and are 3-1 in Southland Conference play. With the loss, the Cowboys also fell in both major polls.

Horace Trahan will be live in Lake Charles today for the McNeese 'Cowboy Corral', the free tailgate party in Lot A in front of the football stadium.

After the McNeese Cowboys impressive win over Nicholls State 55-30 last Saturday it still wasn’t enough to move them up in the polls.

After beating up Central Arkansas Saturday 59-28 and getting their first Southland Conference win, the McNeese Cowboys moved up in both polls and their players swept the Southland Conference weekly player honors.

After starting the season at 4-0, the McNeese Cowboys stumbled over the weekend losing to the University of Northern Iowa 41-6.  The loss now has the cowboys at a 4-1 overall record and they fell in both FCS polls that were released this week.

After a real nail biter last Saturday, The McNeese Cowboys have made another jump in the polls.  The Cowboys beat West Alabama with 45 seconds left in the game to come out victorious 44-42 and with doing so, they are inching up in the two major polls.

You couldn't ask for a better start for the 2013 football season for the McNeese Cowboys.  The went down to Tampa and beat up the University of South Florida and set a couple of records.  Then they came home and drummed Arkansas Pine-Bluff last weekend to start the year at 2-0. For their efforts, the McNeese Cowboys made a big jump in this weeks polls.

The McNeese Cowboys Football team got a historic win last Saturday night against FBS opponent, the University of South Florida.  With the win, they also received a huge payday!

The McNeese Cowboys are gearing up for the 2013 football season and tonight they will hold their annual 'Cowboy Night' at Cowboys stadium. This is a chance for fans to go out and see the McNeese football team first hand for free as they gear up for their first game on August 31st.

It is getting real close football fans!  The LSU Tigers football team reported to camp yesterday and now today the McNeese Football players report to fall camp at the Jack Doland field house.

It's only 51 days away!  What is that you say?  That is when the 2013 McNeese Football season will kickoff in South Florida when they take on the University of South Florida. The McNeese football program has now announced the schedule for the upcoming training camp that will start in early August.

The McNeese Athletic department is kicking of the new sports year in style tonight as the host the annual "Cowboy Gathering" tonight in Lafayette. The event formerly known as the "Cowboy Roundup" features food, meet and greets with the head coaches of the McNeese football, baseball and basketball teams.  Here are all the details.
