The LSU Tigers baseball team begin their quest to win the Southeastern Conference (SEC) when they start play in the the SEC tournament starting today at noon. The Tigers finished the regular season with an impressive 48-8 win/loss record and are the #2 seed in the tournament.  They are set to face the Alabama Crimson Tide today.

The #3 ranked LSU Tigers baseball team took two out of three games from Texas A&M over the weekend.  The Tigers won Saturday 2-1 in eight innings which secured them their second straight SEC West title.

The LSU Tigers beat McNeese State last Tuesday 7-3 and then swept the weekend series against the then ranked #19 Florida Gators but it still wasn't good enough to move them up in this weeks polls.
