The "Louisiana Throwdown" is next Friday, August 8th at Cowboys nightclub in Lake Charles. It a concert celebrating Louisiana Cajun and Zydeco Music and it always features two of the biggest Cajun and or Zydeco music artists!

Today, Keith Frank aka "The Zydeco Boss" celebrates his birthday! Keith has dedicated his life to playing and promoting Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music.

Cajun music star Jamie Bergeron is celebrating his birthday today.  Jamie is from Mire, Louisiana and has been on the Cajun music scene for years now giving us some great traditional Cajun music and his unique spin on new music.

Get ready, because this fall's biggest concert event is TONIGHT! The Louisiana Throwdown is set for Tonight, Nov. 19 with the biggest names in Cajun and Zydeco music all on one stage --and joining them will be two stars of the hit reality show "Swamp People." Damon Troy, Horace Trahan & Keith Frank are all set to perform live and R.J. & Jay Paul from the show "Swamp People

Horace Trahan came to the Cajun Radio studio's this morning and we sure had some fun!  It is always a pleasure when Horace comes to the studio. Horace also was gracious enough to break out his Dino Baffetti Accordion and play it for us! This time though, it was with a twist.  Horace and I went back and forth on the microphone as he sung.  I think it was hillarious!  You be the judge.

The clock is ticking for you to get advance tickets for the first Louisiana Throwdown, set for Saturday at Isle of Capri Casino in Westlake. After 5:30 p.m. today, you'll lose your chance to get to buy and print out your tickets online ... and you'll have to pay regular price, just like everyone else. Yikes. Might want to get a move on.

This morning, I had the privilege of interviewing R.J. and Jay Paul from the hit reality show "Swamp People". They are really two nice guys!  You have a chance to meet them this Saturday Night at the Louisiana Throwdown inside the Ilse Of Capri Casino's Event Center.
