We were honored to welcome Grammy-award winner Chubby Carrier to the Cajun Radio studios this morning.  He not only shared his stories about what it was like to win music's highest award, but he shared some of his favorite music with us -- including this Clifton Chenier classic:

The tradition continues at the VFW post 2130 this Saturday night.  Every Saturday night the VFW has live Cajun music.  This Saturday night its Ron Miller & The Midnight Ramblers. Doors open at 530pm and the music starts at 7pm.

It turns out that Friday’s Marshland Festival’s opening night was the farewell performance from our friends in Hip Boot Joe. Damon Troy and Final Five set the house on fire Friday night with their blistering set at the Marshland Festival, and we brought our cameras to make sure we didn’t miss a beat.  When he ripped into “Party Down,” it made our hair stand up.  If it don’t give you the chills, see a doctor, baby.

We promised you the rest of our footage from Horace Trahan's appearance in the studio this morning, and since you've been such good boys and girls on this Friday, we decided to keep our promise.  Horace will be live at the Marshland Festival Saturday at 9 p.m. at the Civic Center in Lake Charles.  And his new album will be out soon!  See more in this video!
