Yesterday, kicked off the five day USSSA world series with the opening ceremonies at McMurray park in Sulphur. I had the oportunity to be the emcee for the opening event and let me tell you there was at least 2500 people at the park for the event.
Last night. The South Lake Charles little league baseball team battled a late surge by New Mexico in the Southwest Regional Tournament in Waco Texas. The boys of South Lake Charles had to go into extra innings to take care of business winning 10-9 to advance to the tournament final.
With their record now at 3-1 in the tournament, the South Lake Charles Little League team is now in the finals and will take on Texas East who they lost to earlier in the tournament by a score of 6-4.

With the 2-1 record, the South Lake Charles Little League team landed the #2 seed and advanced to the semi-finals where they will take on New Mexico today at 4:00 p.m. central time.
