The #1 ranked LSU Tigers football team arrived at their hotel in New Orleans last night at 6 p.m. to a big crowd of fans. The Tigers didn't have far to go either. They left Baton Rouge for the 70 mile trip that took a little over an hour to get to the Big Easy!  The Tigers are getting geared up for the BCS National Championship Game on Monday January 9th against Alabama.

Head coach of the LSU Tigers football program Les Miles, has been named the 2011 Associated Press Coach of the Year. Les received 30 of the 56 votes to win the honor. Bill Snyder of Kansas State was second with 16, Mike Gundy of Oklahoma State was third with six. After a perfect 13-0 regular season and a trip to his second BCS National Championship game, LSU head coach Les Miles will be honored for his efforts as he will be awarded the Coach of the Year honor on ESPN tonight.

LSU fans are holding their breath today and waiting to see what will happen to some key players on the Tiger football team after a bar fight incident last Thursday. The off-campus incident involving several of LSU's football players was brought front and center into the national spotlight over the weekend. LSU fans might have a reason to worry.  Just one day after the LSU Tigers won the Cotton Bowl in Dallas decisively, Sources are telling ESPN that Michigan is going to pursue LSU Head Football Coach Les Miles for the Michigan Wolverines Head Coaching position.

Look out Tigers fans!!!  Michigan is shopping for a New Head Football Coach. Michigan fired there current Coach Rich Rodriguez and there next Head Coach could be LSU Tigers Head Coach Les Miles.
