The second weekend of Contraband Days is coming up and this Saturday May 12th, they will have and all start lineup of Cajun music playing from Noon to 9:30 p.m. All bands will perform live on the Malibu Rum Outdoor Stage, presented by Contraband Days & Cajun Radio The music will be non stop for almost 10 hours leading up to the fireworks show.  Who do you want to see?  take our poll!

The 55th annual Contraband Days festival kicks off today for two weeks in downtown Lake Charles on the Civic Center grounds. Jean Lafitte and his band of pirates will take over the city for two weeks packed full of great entertainment, carnival rides for the kids and lots of great food! Kevin Naquin who is known for his music and performing has enter a new chapter in life.  Kevin was recently elected to District One City Council in Lafayette. Kevin was sworn in on Tuesday January 3rd, 2012 and will begin serving a four year term as a City Councilman.
