Last Friday, the popular Downtown at Sundown concert series started with a new location in downtown Lake Charles. The popular concert series which is free and open to all ages started last Friday and will run through June 5th. Remember that this year, Downtown at Sundown moved locations from the corner of Broad Street and Ryan Street and now will take place on Ryan Street in front of Historic City

It's that time of the year Southwest Louisiana! Time for the annual Downtown at Sundown four week concert series. It starts on Friday May 15th and goes through four consecutive Friday's ending on June 5th. This year, Downtown at Sundown has moved from the corner of Broad Street and Ryan Street and now will take place on Ryan Street in front of Historic City Hall and the Parish Courthouse.

Jo-EL Sonnier started his year with a bang.  Last month on February 8th, Jo-EL Sonnier made a trip to Los Angeles to attend the Grammy awards as a nominee.  He was nominated in the category "Best Regional Roots Album". Well we all know what happened next...

Cajun music's own Jo-El Sonnier won the 2015 Grammy award for "Best Regional Roots Music Album" for his CD "The Legacy" last night in Los Angeles.

68 year old Jo-El Sonnier has recorded 32 albums and performed in 27 countries since starting his career in the 60s. Tonight he may win a Grammy.

Cajun music's own Jo-El Sonnier has been nominated for a Grammy award for his CD "The Legacy". He is one of five artists nominated in the "Best Regional Roots Music Album". This is Jo-EL's fourth nomination and hopefully this year he will bring home the hardware! Here are the nominees.
