On July 4, 2012, the United States will celebrate its 236th birthday – and in most places, the first big bash of summer! So what’s happening in the Lake Area for this Independence Day? We’ve rounded up all the information on each town’s event so you can figure out how you want to spend your Fourth of July!

Back in February, two 19-year-olds and one 17-year-old went on a spree, spray-painting headstones, knocking them over and destroying other property in two Jennings graveyards and one out in Hathaway.  This week, they were sentenced for their crimes.  What punishment do you think they deserved?

UPDATE, 9:45 P.M. :  Jennings Police report Bralon Edwards was found safe and returned to his parents.

The Jennings Bulldogs football team will get geared up for the season tonight as they play in the Lafayette Kiwanis Jamboree.  The Bulldogs were invited to this prestigious jamboree for the first time ever and you can Listen Live on Cajun Radio tonight beginning at 645pm.
